To supervise jointing teams in their daily tasks, planning working and ensuring that they are able to complete tasks to a high quality and in a safe manner. To communicate feedback on the progression on jobs and any delays to the Project Managers and Operations Manager. The candidate will be both office based and on site and have the ability to assist with jointing tasks in accordance with the business needs. Attention to detail in completing audits, reports and forecasting works is important as well as proven leadership skills.

Main Responsibilities
• Oversee all cable jointers working on LV, 11kV and 33kV new connections
• To be responsible to the Operations Manager
• To assist the Work Scheduling Manager with work planning
• To work in accordance with Dragon Infrastructure Solutions (DIS) NERS registration operational procedures
• To ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with DIS Health and Safety, quality and environment procedures
• To ensure that all site specific risk assessments are completed
• To carry out toolbox talks if required
• To carry out technical audits on each team at a minimum of one per month and in accordance with DIS technical audit procedure
• To ensure that all onsite works are carried out in accordance with DIS method statements and risk assessments
• To ensure maintenance and quality of the NERS project Certification and Completion File for the Adopting industry companies
• To procure plant and materials only from suppliers on the NERS approved supplier list and assist the procurement department in assessing this
• To ensure all statutory notifications for street works are in place prior to commencement of any works
• Evaluate work orders and determine equipment and material requirements to safely execute operational activities in accordance with relevant legislation and statutory obligations
• To represent DIS in a professional manner at all times
• To work closely with the client to ensure customer satisfaction

Essential Criteria:
• Previous experience overseeing other cable jointers in a supervisory capacity
• Proven 5 years’ experience as a cable jointer (LV or HV)
• DNO or ICP authorisations for jointing (LV or HV)
• Electrical knowledge
• Ability to supervisor and lead others
• Physically fit
• Full clean driving license
• Have good communications skills both verbal and written

• City & Guilds level 2 in electro mechanical engineering, specialising in supply & distribution
• Level 2 ONC Electrical Engineering Qualifications (or equivalent)
• Ability to tow trailers, Category B +E entitlement
• PASMA card
• Winch ticket
• CAT & Genny training

• Proven experience of 2 years+ in reception / front of house environment
• Excellent telephone manner
• Good organisational ability and attention to detail
• Effective interpersonal skills with a positive outlook
• Good IT skills, including Word, Outlook and Excel
• Ability to construct formal correspondence

 To carry out electrical works which range from the connection of new supplies, diversion and alterations to locating and repairing faults. It would be highly beneficial to have current authorisations on DNO networks. Full clean driving license.

Main Responsibilities

• To carry out electrical works in the connection of new supplies, diversions and alterations and to locate and repair faults
• Connect both LV and HV up to 33KV
• Deliver the job to time and guaranteed service levels
• To carry out risk assessments and maintain safe working practices

• To complete weekly timesheets and all necessary paperwork for submission every Monday
• To ensure that all NERS work is undertaken in line with NERS operational procedures and method statements
• To notify the line manager in advance of and understand any variations in the design
• To accept delivery of plant and materials and check inspection, calibration and conformity certification
• Responsible for the efficient use of materials and Company property
• To ensure personnel under control fully understand and adhere to their job requirements
• Keep vehicles clean and tidy and report any damage to line manager immediately
• To record accurately details of work undertaken
• Minimum 3 years DNO background or experience of working with IDNO / ICP
• Proven 5 years’ experience as a trained qualified Jointer
• CSCS / ECS / SHEA Electric or equivalent
• Electrical knowledge
• Physically fit
• Full clean driving license
• Have good communications skills- verbal and written
• Health and safety awareness
• Good team player
• Ability to follow and complete instructions

• City & Guilds level 2 in electro mechanical engineering, specialising in supply & distribution
• Level 2 ONC Electrical Engineering Qualifications (or equivalent)

Dragon Infrastructure Solutions

 The candidate will have overall responsibility for their projects covering the supply and installation of new electricity infrastructure and connections. They will engage in a range of engineering and consultancy activities associated with the delivery of effective solutions. As well as our client, the candidate will be working with technical staff, Distribution Network Operators and sub-contractors to meet the project deadlines and customer specifications. A flexible attitude is essential as the candidate may be asked to undertake other duties to assist in meeting organisational objectives.

This role will involve overall responsibilities for projects and managing a small team of staff. The Project Manager will define the overall project programmes to meet the customer’s requirements, working closely in negotiations with customers to ensure completion of projects to agreed specifications and timescales especially in the face of changes or delays.
Working with technical staff, DNO/IDNO’s and sub-contractors, the aim is to meet the project programme and customer’s specifications. The candidate will have the ability to monitor and forecast project performance, completion costs and ultimately control the overall project to ensure that forecast performance is achieved or enhanced.
It is essential that compliance with all processes necessary to retain Lloyd’s registration accreditation is upheld and maintained.

• Proven experience 2 years + within the DNO/IDNO or ICP private networks
• electricity power distribution industry
• Fully conversant with the industry standards, practices and procedures
• Minimum 2 years operational experience in 33kV (11kV will be considered with a view to training up)
• Ability to coordinate site activities and ensure the safety of all involved
• Have a strong understanding of commercial terms and conditions and the impact it will have on project delivery
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders both verbally and written
• Ability to produce written reports
• Be computer literate
• Full, clean, driving licence
• Current ECS/CSCS card

• Current SMSTS (CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
• Currently or previously held SAP tickets with a DNO such as UKPN, WPD, SSE or an ICP
• Project Management qualification such as Prince or equivalent
• Minimum Level 2 ONC Electrical Engineering qualification (or equivalent)
• DNO background or experience of working with DNOs
• ICP experience
• Fully compliant with Quality Management System and Safety Procedures
