The BID works closely with businesses on the estate and with partners to maintain an Incident Plan and support businesses in the event of a major incident forcing evacuation or temporary re-location.
Disaster Incident Plan
Operation Windmill is a Disaster Recovery Plan to help guide businesses through the steps to be taken in advance of an incident taking place on the estate. Sub section responses are included for Fire, Flood, Loss of Utilities, Major Traffic Incident and Snow, Terrorism Incidents and Traveller encampments.
If an Incident occurs on the estate a Business Alert will be issued to businesses who have subscribed to receive emails.
To report a traveller encampment please contact Northamptonshire Police on 999 (101 for non-emergencies).
Traveller encampments on private land including land owned by businesses on Brackmills are a civil offence, for more information about managing traveller encampments please contact the Countywide Travellers Unit on 01604 366234 or the BID office at [email protected].
Both services are available Monday - Friday 9am-5pm.
