We are delighted to announce that Brackmills Industrial Estate has been unveiled as a finalist in the prestigious Northamptonshire Logistics Awards (NLA) 2026, part of a record-breaking line-up of businesses from across the estate as the awards celebrate their tenth anniversary.
Finalists in the Health, Safety and Wellbeing category, we have been recognised for our ongoing work to improve personal safety and wellbeing on the estate, including a longstanding partnership with Northamptonshire Police. The BID also returns as sponsor of the Driver of the Year category for 2026.
Sara Homer, CEO of Brackmills BID, said: “We are passionate supporters of health, safety and wellbeing in the workplace, and this recognition reflects how central that is to everything we do here on Brackmills. It ties directly into our core objectives: infrastructure, crime prevention and safety, environment and sustainability, and supporting businesses and people. To be named a finalist in this landmark tenth anniversary year is a real honour.”
This year has seen the continuation of our funding of a dedicated Police Community Support Officer, Paul Hurst, who provides a trusted, visible safety presence across the estate with extended patrols onto local commuter routes. In support of Northamptonshire Police’s priority to tackle Violence Against Women and Girls, the BID became a signatory of the Northamptonshire Women’s Charter, and we have attended wellbeing events funding and distributing personal safety alarms, cycle lights and anti-spiking products to employees.
We also run a regular Health, Safety and Wellbeing Forum, bringing together member businesses and the wider Northamptonshire business community to share knowledge and best practice.
Alongside the Brackmills BID team, a record number of estate-based businesses are also celebrating finalist places this year, including DSV (also this year’s headline sponsor), Decathlon, SAS Tech Services, Stanley Black & Decker, Carbon Neutral Vending, ILG, GXO and Redi-Lift Learning, across categories including, but not limited to, Big Logistics Company of the Year, Environment and Sustainability, Team of the Year and Logistics Partnership of the Year.
Individuals from across the estate have also been recognised, with Vittoria Donkor and Fran Cortese of CEVA, Alex Castle of GXO, Gracie McClaren of Redi-Lift Learning, and Linden Kay of SAS Tech Services all shortlisted in this year’s awards.
Sara adds: “It’s brilliant to see so many Brackmills businesses shortlisted this year, and we will be proud to stand alongside them on the night. Good luck to everyone shortlisted across our fantastic logistics community.”
Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Friday 9th October at the Mercure Hotel, Northampton.
