Business Spotlight: Store Secure 365
Store Secure 365 is a container self-storage business, opened here on the estate in Spring 2026. We spoke to Director Anthony Pearlgood about the new venture and what brings him and his colleagues to Brackmills.
Flexible, affordable drive-up container storage comes to Brackmills
We spoke to Anthony Pearlgood, one of the directors of newly opened Store Secure 365, has spent much of his career in the storage and records management sector, having previously grown a shredding and storage business from a handful of vehicles to a 30-depot national operation. Here, he tells us about the business and what brings him and his colleagues to Brackmills.
The right opportunity, at the right time
Store Secure 365 is the product of a long-held ambition. Anthony and a small group of long-standing friends and colleagues had been looking for the right business to pursue together for some time. After two years of research, trade shows and site visits across the country, container self-storage emerged as the clear answer; a sector with genuine demand, a straightforward and scalable model and scope to do things better.
The concept is simple: drive-up container units that customers can access whenever they need, on flexible terms, at a price point well below traditional self-storage. There is no need to interact with the team if you would rather not…booking is handled online and access codes and lock boxes mean the whole process can be entirely self-sufficient. That said, Anthony and his colleagues are firmly on hand for anyone who wants to talk through their requirements or arrange something bespoke.
“We’re really hot on customer service,” says Anthony. “But we completely get that some people don’t want to talk to anybody, or work at unsociable hours and that’s absolutely fine too.”
What’s available
The site currently offers 20-foot containers (20ft x 8ft x 8ft), with 10-foot units arriving shortly to extend the range. For customers with larger or more specific requirements, bespoke arrangements are available and the team is happy to discuss what might work. The model is deliberately scalable; a sole trader might start with a single unit, while a growing business might run several side by side, adjusting as demand changes.
The yard has been fully resurfaced, with clear roadways and a strong emphasis on health and safety throughout. The site is securely fenced and gated, with coded gate entry and 24-hour CCTV monitored by a specialist security company using AI-driven recognition to flag anything unusual. Lighting is good across the whole site, and premium positions close to the entrance are available for customers who need regular, quick access.
Who uses container storage?
The customer base spans personal and business use in roughly equal measure. For individuals, it is most often a house move, a declutter, or simply the need for extra space for things that don’t need to be at home every day. For tradespeople and small businesses, the comparison with an industrial unit is stark – a container offers secure, accessible storage for tools, materials and stock at a fraction of the monthly overheads of a permanent business unit. For professional services firms and online businesses, it provides a practical and cost-effective home for documents, marketing materials and fulfilment stock that can scale up or down in line with demand.
Why Brackmills?
Location was central to the decision. Brackmills sits at the heart of the country with direct access to junction 15 of the M1, making it straightforward to reach from a wide catchment area…important for a business whose customers want storage within a short drive. For a business with national ambitions, the transport connectivity also makes it an ideal base from which to grow.
“One of the things we love about the site is how accessible it is,” says Anthony. “We’ve got no competition within a few miles, and there’s a great mix of residential housing and local businesses nearby too. People want accessible storage within 10 or 15 minutes, and we can offer that.”
The plan is to use Brackmills as the platform for a national network of up to ten sites over the next five years. A second site is already under review in Kettering.
Getting involved on the estate
Anthony is keen to get to know his neighbours on Brackmills and will be attending BID events including the Health, Safety and Wellbeing forums and BID Breakfasts. Site visits are warmly welcomed and the team is happy to show businesses and individuals around and talk through what might suit their needs.
