Brackmills Hero: Meet Becky Hurst
Becky was nominated as a Brackmills Hero for her outstanding support of BID events, particularly her above and beyond efforts at the recent AGM.
Since joining Festo in June 2024 as a Business Administrator, Becky has quickly become an integral part of the team. Her role has evolved to include responsibilities as a Fire Warden, First Aider and STEM Ambassador, demonstrating her commitment to making a real difference within the business and wider community.
For Becky, the best part of her job is the people and the variety. She thrives on the energy of event days, whether internal gatherings or external engagements, and loves that no two days are ever the same.
Becky was nominated as a Brackmills Hero for her outstanding support of BID events, particularly her above and beyond efforts at the recent AGM. When technical hiccups threatened to derail proceedings, Becky kept her cool and ensured everything ran smoothly, exemplifying the collaborative spirit that makes Brackmills such a special place to work.
Being nominated came as a complete surprise, she says: “I feel proud to be nominated, it was totally unexpected and it really did make my day when I received the email.”
Working alongside the BID team has brought Becky additional job satisfaction. She values the opportunity to collaborate with people from across the estate and enjoys being part of planning and delivering successful events.
Her advice to others thinking about getting more involved with Brackmills BID? “Do it! It is worth it for the collaboration of other businesses in the Brackmills community and the information and support you get from Sara and the BID team. You could also be nominated for a Brackmills Hero reward.”
Recently, Festo participated in corporate volunteering days across the whole company, including beach cleans around the country and the Brackmills litter pick, further demonstrating their commitment to environmental responsibility and community engagement.
