Brackmills welcomes its first guided nature walk, right here on the estate
A fantastic turn out for our first ever lunchtime guided nature walk right here on the estate, in partnership with The Wildlife Trust
Something a little different happened on Brackmills this week. For the first time, The Wildlife Trust for Beds, Cambs & Northants led a lunchtime guided nature walk right here on the estate ā and it was a reminder of just how much is going on in the natural world, even in the heart of a busy industrial and logistics hub.
Led by friendly, knowledgeable guide Megan Shersby, the walk gave employees the chance to step away from their screens, get some fresh air and reconnect with the wildlife and seasonal changes happening just outside the workplace door. Short, accessible and designed to fit neatly into a working day, it was exactly the kind of unexpected lunchtime moment that stays with you.
The benefits of time in nature are well-evidenced. Even a short walk can help reduce stress and mental fatigue, improve focus and energy and leave people feeling more positive and recharged when they return to their desks. For teams, there’s something valuable about experiencing that together too ā shared moments that strengthen connections beyond the usual working environment.
For Brackmills, this is another dimension to our partnership with The Wildlife Trust, one of the five charity partners selected by our member businesses in 2025. It’s a partnership we really value, and events like this bring it to life in a very direct and meaningful way.
