Brackmills businesses are invited to this exclusive Action Counters Terrorism Document Awareness workshop, carried out by specially trained officers from the National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO) team and the Counter Terrorism (CT) network.

Thursday 6th July 2023, 9am - 12pm, location confirmed after RSVP.

There are just 20 places at this three hour interactive presentation, which aims to increase identity document knowledge, particularly in HR and recruitment departments.

This free workshop includes the chance to examine counterfeit and genuine identity documents to gain a better understanding of the security features used and includes: document construction, watermarks, intaglio ink, latent images, ultra violet features, optically variable inks and Microprint. The workshop has been designed to enhance the ability of the delegates to spot a fake.

This is all done using real UK passports and driving licences. Counterfeits and forgeries can also be shown to delegates, making this a very practical workshop.

This workshop is particularly suited to staff employed in crowded places, and any other vulnerable sites which are required to verify ID documents on a regular basis. This normally includes HR and recruitment.

The additional knowledge gained will better protect business against potential infiltration through employment.

The workshop has been designed to enhance the ability of the delegates to know the difference between counterfeit and genuine identity, with the event asking the question 'Do you know who you are employing?'.
